WESTMINSTER, Md. – Becca Meyers, Melissa Mullin, and Jillian Albus all tallied a pair of victories to help Franklin & Marshall cruise past McDaniel 55-31 on Friday night in Centennial Conference (CC) women's swimming action. The Diplomats improved to 4-1-1, 4-0 CC while the loss dropped the Green Terror to 1-7, 0-5 CC.

Meyers was the first Diplomat to win an event, finishing the 200-yard freestyle in 2:01.00 to take first place. She repeated the feat in the 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 5:20.67 to win by just over six seconds. The junior finished her night in the 100-yard butterfly, where she finished third in 1:02.92 to claim another point.

Albus followed suit in the sprint freestyle events, winning the 50-yard freestyle in 25.46 before winning the 100-yard edition in 55.79.

Mullin was the third Diplomat to record multiple wins on the evening, headlining a pair of 1-2 finishes for F&M. In the 400-yard IM Mullin took winner's honors with a time of 4:48.52, while Kellen McDonald finished as runner-up after posting a time of 4:56.70. In the 100-yard breaststroke Mullin again took first in 1:10.55, this time joined by Michelle Wall whose time of 1:12.00 was good for second place.

The 100-yard backstroke saw Diplomats again fill the top two places, as freshman Anna Hess took first with a time of 1:01.96 and Taylor Mateja claimed second in 1:03.61.

Grace Pereles turned a pair of fine performances for F&M, earning individual victory in the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.38) before adding a third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.34).

Courtney Collins added a second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, posting a time of 56.77, while Breann Cavanagh contributed a third place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking a time of 5:37.43.

The Diplomats face a quick turn around as they return to the pool tomorrow at 1:00 p.m., hosting the Red Devils of Dickinson in CC competition.
