LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Anthony Mancini went 3-0 in the 184-pound bracket to take first place at the Mat-Town Open, hosted by Lock Haven, to lead a strong showing of Franklin & Marshall wrestlers on Sunday. 

Philip Robilotto, who competed unattached, was also impressive for the Diplomats, registering a third-place showing at 197. 

Mancini opened with a 4-0 decision, before a pin of Pittsburgh's Christian Dietrich at 4:30 sent him to the 184-pound finals. In the championship bout, Mancini claimed the title with an 8-6 decision. 

Robilotto lost his opening match in the 197-pound championship bracket, before rattling off three-straight wins, including a 7-3 decision in his final match to take third. 

At 174, Josh Young won two consecutive decisions to reach the Championship Semifinals before being edged out by a narrow 2-0 decision. Jimmy Stillerman and Gordon Bolig also competed in the bracket, with Stillerman securing a pin (2:27) and Bolig winning by decision (4-3) in the wrestle backs.

Robbie King rolled to two wins in the 165-pound championship bracket, including a 15-3 major decision in his first bout of the day, but was forced to withdraw due to a medical forfeit in the semifinals. 

Freshman Emmett LiCastri reached the semifinals of the 157-pound draw but was overcome by an 11-5 decision in the semifinals. Michael Marano also competed in the draw and registered a 6-1 decision in the consolations. 

Nick Maher secured back-to-back decision wins in the 141-pound wrestle backs but saw his tournament draw to a close in the consolation round of four. 

At 133, Dan Martoccio accumulated a 3-2 overall record with two pins to reach the consolation semifinals, while Antonio Pelusi wrestled unattached at 285 and put together a 2-2 mark with two decision wins in the wrestle backs. 

The Diplomats will take a break from tournament action to compete in their first dual meet of the season on Friday when F&M welcomes VMI to Mayser for an 8:00 p.m. match.
