ABINGTON, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's men's cross country team claimed the top four finishes and five of the top 10 en route to a dominant victory on Saturday morning at the Penn St.-Abington Invitational. The Diplomats finished with a total of 18 points, with no other team finishing lower than 50.
The dominant team performance came from a pack of F&M runners that controlled the front of the race as a unit. Patrick Manion eventually came out on top, clocking a time of 29:23.4 to take first place overall. Michael Whalen was close behind, finishing just 1.3 seconds after Manion to take second at 29:24.7.
J.T. Paganelli was next to cross for the Diplomats, taking third overall with a time of 29:30.0 while Brien Miceli closed out the top-four finishes with a mark of 29:38.7. Spencer Lyman finished at 29:57.5 to take eighth, followed by Collin Roth in 13th (30:25.5) and Bryce Williams in 20th (31:17.7).
