AMHERST, Mass. – Franklin & Marshall's No. 13 men's squash team bounced back from a tough 5-4 loss against No. 18 Bates with a strong 9-0 blanking of No. 20 Amherst on Saturday afternoon at day one of the Amherst Round Robin.

With the 1-1 mark on the day, the Diplomats moved to 6-7 overall for the season. 

By the Numbers (Bates) 

Only four of the nine matchups were decided by three games, with the Bobcats earning three of the sweeps. Yannis Senkel blanked his opponent at No. 4 with a 3-0 tally, while Ricardo Machado battled back from an 11-9 loss to win three straight. 

The loss brought an end to a six-game Diplomats' winning streak in the series, dating back to the 2009-10 season.

The Diplomats rolled against Amherst by taking 3-0 sweeps at all nine spots on the ladder. Jackson McCord was particularly dominant at No. 6, conceding just 13 total points through three frames.

F&M now holds a five-game winning streak against Amherst.
