LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 13 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team fell in its first match of 2017 to No. 5 Columbia by a 9-0 score on Thursday afternoon in Mayser.
The Diplomats dropped to 1-5 with the defeat, while the Lions improved to 3-1.
By the Numbers
Columbia won all the nine matchups by 3-0 sweeps despite a number of closely contested games throughout the afternoon. Jackson McCord battled at No. 7 but was edged by a 15-13 marathon score in his second game, while freshman Boden Polikoff narrowly fell in his opening game by a 12-10 tally at the No. 8 spot.
With the loss, F&M still owns the all-time series at 17-5, but have now lost three straight matches to the Lions.
