BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Four Franklin & Marshall wrestlers placed at Sunday's season-opening Bearcat Open tournament, hosting by Binghamton.
Brett Kulp placed second at 141 pounds after being victorious in his opening four matches of the day, which included a fall and a major decision. He finished his tournament with a 4-1 record.
Anthony Mancini placed second at 184 pounds and wrapped up his tournament with a 3-1 record. He rolled to the finals with three-consecutive tech. fall victories and narrowly fell in the Championship match by a 6-4 score to Brown's Christian LaFragola.
Philip Robilotto secured fifth in the 197-pound bracket. He finished his day at 3-1, winning his first two matches.
In the 285-pound bracket, Antonio Pelusi garnered a third-place showing. He opened his day with two-consecutive wins, including a first-period pin in his first match. Pelusi eventually secured third thanks to a 5-2 decision over Lehigh's Victor Lecombe.
