CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Franklin & Marshall's No. 13 men's squash team suffered a hard-fought 5-4 loss to No. 12 Cornell in Friday's opening round of the Hoehn Cup (B Division) at the College Squash Association (CSA) Championships.
The Diplomats moved to 18-6 overall and are set to take on No. 16 MIT in tomorrow's Consolation Semifinal at noon.

By the Numbers
F&M jumped out to an early 2-0 edge thanks to a 3-0 sweep from Yannis Senkel at No. 4 and a come-from-behind 3-1 win from Flavio Hinostroza at No. 8. However, the Big Red mounted a comeback effort after securing wins in four out of the top-six positions on the ladder.
Shams Abbas (No. 3) and Teddy Eill (No. 7) earned the Diplomats' other two victories in the order. Eill trailed 2-0 before claiming a 13-11 win in the third to stay alive.
The first-year continued the momentum with wins of 11-7 and 12-10 to complete to comeback effort. He improved to 21-1 on the season with his 19th-straight triumph.
A Look at MIT
The Diplomats have claimed a pair of wins over MIT this season, with the most recent being a 7-2 victory on Feb. 7. The Engineers fell to top-seeded Dartmouth by a narrow 5-4 tally earlier in the day.
