WASHINGTON, D.C. – An impressive tournament run came to a close on Sunday for Franklin & Marshall's No. 14 men's squash team at the Mid-Atlantic Squash Championships, with a tough 8-1 loss against No. 8 Virginia in the Championship match.
F&M dropped to 16-5 with the defeat while the Cavaliers improved to 17-4.
By the Numbers
The Diplomats' lone win on the ladder came from No. 7 Teddy Eill, whose strong play continued with a dominant 3-0 blanking. Each game was close, including a 16-14 final score in the second frame. Eill continues to confound foes and has now secured 16-consecutive wins to improve to 18-1 on the year.
Yannis Senkel pushed his opponent to five games at No. 4 after fighting back in the fourth with an 11-7 win but coming up short in the fifth at 14-12.

F&M's Run at the Tournament
The Diplomats earned a place in the final after upending No.17 MIT on Friday evening, before upsetting the No. 6 team in the nation and the tournament's top seed Drexel by a 5-4 thriller on Saturday.

F&M gets back to action next Saturday at the Centennial Conference Round Robin in Carlisle. The Diplomats open against Johns Hopkins at 10:00 a.m. before facing Dickinson at 6:00 p.m.
