BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall finished eighth out of 26 competing teams in the Men's College White 8k race at the Paul Short Run on Friday afternoon. The team finished with a score of 232, pulling together four top-60 finishes in the race. Washington & Lee took home the team honors, narrowing besting Catholic by a single point. The Diplomats finished second amongest Centennial Conference (CC) competition, as Ursinus finished fourth overall.
Bennett Wasch led the way with a 20th place finish for the Diplomats with a time of 26:45.2. The junior averaged a 5:23 mile during the run.
Alex Fillman finished 39th overall with a 27:13.7 time, followed by Mike Maglione in 53rd (27:32.9), Alex Miller in 59th (27:39.3) and Alfonso Knoll in 61st place (27:42.6) - all accounting towards the Diplomats' final score.
Connor Ashnault finished 74th (28:01.4) and Ryan Braun ended 77th (28:02.7) to round out the F&M lineup.
Men's Cross Country continues its schedule in just over two weeks, as the team competes at the Hood College Invitational in Utica Park-Frederick, Md. on Saturday, October 16 at 10:00am.
