Carlisle, Pa. - The No. 18 Franklin & Marshall women's squash pulled an upset according to the rankings in its season opener with a 6-3 win against preseason No. 17 Dickinson. The Diplomats were strong throughout the ladder with victories at No. 2 and No. 4, but really took control of the match with a sweep of the fifth through ninth spots on the ladder.
Sankaran won her match 13-11, 11-4, and 11-8. Quayle dominated with a 11-6, 11-7, 11-6 victory. Mishra was undeniable as she took care of business winning 11-3, 11-5, and 11-8.
Two matches came right down the wire in a round of five sudden death.
Emily Knapp won her final round 11-6 and
Aryaa Ogale was clutch winning 11-6 as well.
