LANCASTER, Pa. -- The No. 19 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team picked up a pair of wins to even its season record, starting the day with a 5-4 upset of No. 18 Bowdoin, then a 7-2 win over No. 27 Colby.

Trailing 4-3, five-game victories by Audrey Berling and Cate Costin in the No. 1 and No. 3 slots pulled out the victory for the Diplomats against Bowdoin. Berling picked up the first two games, dropped the next two, then pulled out an 11-8 victory in the final game. Costin finished in more dramatic fashion, trailing 2-1, then winning the final two games 11-9 and an astonishing 23-21 fifth and final.

In the second match, F&M picked up a 3-0 win from Aryaa Ogale at No. 2, then swept the No. 4-9 slots with the same 3-0 scoreline for the 7-2 victory over Colby. Emily Knapp, Zarine Gidwaney, Emily Bartos, Zoe Quayle, Gabby Ramos, and Pratiksha Mishra all cruised to wins in the bottom portion of the lineup.

F&M now prepares for early February, as the Diplomats play host to the Mid-Atlantic Squash Championship in Lancaster, beginning on Friday, Feb. 4 and continuing through the weekend.
