LEWISTON, Maine. – The No. 21 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team defeated No. 19 Bates, 6-3, Sunday morning.
Gurlin Kaur picked up a 3-1 victory out of the No. 2 slot. Aryaa Ogale followed with a 3-1 win in the No. 3 slot as Ogale won three-straight games after being down 1-0 to overcome her opponent. The Diplomats picked up big wins by Zarine Gidwaney (No. 5), Zoe Quayle (No. 6), Gabby Ramos (No. 7), and Iman Jaikishan (No. 8) as they were able to sweep their matchups.
F&M tried to extend its lead as Audrey Berling played a close match that went five games in the No. 1 slot. However, Berling was edged in the fifth game to fall, 3-2.
