LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 15 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team rolled to a 7-2 victory against No. 24 Hobart during Sunday afternoon's match on the Mayser Squash Courts. Six of the seven Diplomat wins came via 3-0 sweeps as F&M went a perfect 2-0 this weekend and has now won four straight overall as a team to run its season record to 8-4.
Kyle Broadhurst (No. 3), Marco DiFilippo (No. 4), and Noah Katzer (No. 7) all finished their weekends without dropping a game as they completed sweeps on consecutive days. Broadhurst has now won seven consecutive matches and is a team-best 9-3 this season. DiFilippo has won four straight overall and moved above .500 with his fifth victory of the season.
Teddy Eill (No. 5), Flavio Hinostroza (No. 6), and Sam Freed (No. 8) were also victorious in the minimum three games, while Petr Nohel (No. 1) won three consecutive games after a tough opener. Nohel's win was his seventh this season at the top of the lineup. Akshat Agarwal remained undefeated on the year with a win at No. 10. He is now 4-0 as a member of the varsity lineup and 4-0 at No. 10 after a pair of victories this weekend.
The Diplomats will be back at home on Wednesday, January 25 versus Navy in a match that is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start.
