GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall Women's Swimming team fell to Gettysburg in its first dual meet of the season on Friday night.
Though the Diplomats failed to register an individual win, the team saw nine top-three finishes, including seven individually.
Leading the way was
Sophie Moyer, who finished third in the 50 yard freestyle and second in the 200 yard breaststroke. She was also a part of the the teams that placed third in both the 200 yard freestyle relay and 400 yard yard medley relay.
In the 1000 yard freestyle,
Georgia May and
Kathy Peitz-Diaz finished second and third respectively, with just over four seconds separating the two.
First-year
Matti Harvey registered a top-three finish in the 100 yard freestyle, in addition to being a part of the 200 yard freestyle and 400 yard medley relay teams.
F&M will return to action with a home dual meet against Mary Washington on Saturday, November 4 at 1 p.m.
