LANCASTER, Pa. - In a Saturday afternoon dual meet at the Alumni Sports and Fitness Center (ASFC), the Franklin & Marshall Women's Swimming team defeated Bryn Mawr, 147-58. The Diplomats saw 10 first-place finishes across 11 events and swept the top-three finishes in three races.
With eights individual wins and two relay race wins,
Sophie Moyer played a role in three first-place finishes, including individual victories in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard breaststroke. She was also a part of the relay team that placed first in the 200-yard medley relay.
Georgia May added a pair of individual wins as well, finishing first in the 200-yard 500-yard freestyle races.
For the first time in her collegiate career,
Matti Harvey registered a first-place finish, winning the 50-yard freestyle. Additionally, she was one of four swimmers on the 200-yard medley relay winning team.
Rhubani Sidhu won her first race of the season, placing first in the 100-yard freestyle while also being a part of the team that won the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Catherine Crampton finished first in both the 100-yard freestyle and 400-yard freestyle relay.
Sophie Bergstrom rounded out the individual winners with a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke, along with a relay win in the 200-yard medley.
F&M will next host the F&M Invitational, scheduled between Friday, November 17 and Sunday, November 19 at the ASFC.
