LANCASTER, Pa. - Despite five first-place finishes, the Franklin & Marshall Women's Swimming team was unable to overcome Mary Washington, falling 163-98 on Saturday afternoon. Each of the wins was recorded by a different swimmer.

Adding on to her successful season thus far, Georgia May was the top finisher in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:07.91. It was the second time she won the event after finishing first at the season-opening quad meet as well.

Sophie Moyer earned first place in the 100-yard breastroke for a second time this season with a time of 1:07.93. 

For the first time this year, Sophie Bergstrom was the first place finisher in the 200-yard backstroke, completing the race with a time of 2:16.15. 

Kathy Diaz-Meitz won her first event of the 2023-24 campaign, placing first in the 500-yard freestyle. 

Catherine Crampton rounded out the individual winners for the Diplomats with a victory in the 400-yard IM.

The Diplomats will next host Bryn Mawr on Saturday, November 11.
