PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 19 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team came up short against No. 22 Chatham, 5-4, in Friday morning's quarterfinal round of the Walker Cup at the CSA National Collegiate Women's Team Championships, hosted by Penn.
Audrey Berlin (No. 1), Zoe Quayle (No. 6), and Iman Jaikishan (No. 7) all earned 3-0 sweeps over their opponents. Berlin earned her 11th win of the season, while Quayle picked up her 10th of the year. Jaikishan cruised past her opponent to get her sixth victory of the season.
Sara Ghorashi claimed her fifth win of the 2022-23 season as she pushed past her opponent, 3-1, in the No. 8 slot. Tied at 1-all, Ghorashi outscored her opposition 11-2 and 11-8 to earn the victory.
Cate Costin battled to the end as she was edged, 3-2, in the No. 5 slot. Tied at 2-all, Costin fell 14-12 in the fifth game to narrowly fall in her match and give Chatham the advantage.
