HARTFORD, Conn. – The No. 16 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team was dropped by No. 9 Columbia, 9-0, in the first round of the Hoehn Cup at the CSA Team Championships Friday morning.
The Diplomats were swept in eight of their nine contests with Jordan Sprecher being edged, 3-2, in the No. 4 slot. In search of his seventh victory of the season, Sprecher jumped out to a 2-1 lead after winning the second and third game by scores of 11-6 and 11-3, respectively. Despite the advantage, the sophomore was overtaken in their last two games.
No. 16 Franklin & Marshall falls to the consolation bracket of the Hoehn Cup. The Diplomats square off with No. 13 Rochester Saturday at noon.
