Men's Squash Loses to No. 7 Drexel, Overpowers No. 28 Dickinson

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 17 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team split its Saturday matchups at the Mid-Atlantic Squash Championships, hosted by the University of Virginia. F&M was swept, 9-0, in the opening match against No. 7 Drexel before picking up a win against No. 28 Dickinson, 8-1.

Drexel swept the Diplomats in seven of the nine matchups. Kyle Broadhurst (No. 2) and Marco DiFilippo (No. 3) each worked a game-victory to avoid being swept, but their opponents didn't back down as both Diplomats were defeated, 3-1.  

F&M came out determined in its second match of the day as the Diplomats swept the Red Devils in five-straight matches. Jordan Sprecher (No. 4), Teddy Eill (No. 5), Noah Katzer (No. 6), Sam Freed (No. 7), and Evann Tan (No. 8) all picked up sweeps in the victory. Petr Nohel earned his ninth win of the season as he downed his opponent, 3-1, out of the No. 1 slot. Marco DiFilippo also worked a 3-1 win for his seventh of the 2022-23 campaign out of the No. 3 slot.
