CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 19 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team got back in the win column with its first victory of 2024 as the Diplomats edged No. 16 MIT, 5-4, on Friday evening. F&M improves its record to 6-5, while MIT drops to 7-8 this season.
Kyle Broadhurst earned his seventh win of the season as he powered past his opponent, 3-1, in the No. 1 slot.
Jordan Sprecher (No. 3) and
Noah Katzer (No. 4) earned 3-1 victories over their opponents to claim their seventh wins of the season as well.
Sharan Punjabi (No. 2) tallied his seventh win of the 2023-24 campaign as he swept his opponent, 3-0. Those four Diplomats join
Marco DiFilippo for the team-high in individual wins this year.
Blake Newcomer also picked up a 3-0 sweep in the No. 9 slot to claim his second victory of the season.
Franklin & Marshall heads to Medford, Massachusetts to play No. 12 Tufts on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
