LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 23 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team fought hard against No. 18 Bowdoin in Saturday afternoon's match at the Mayser Center. The Diplomats earned wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 slots, but Bowdoin rolled through the other matches as the Polar Bears won the match, 7-2. F&M falls to 4-9 on the season, while Bowdoin improves to 5-6.
Gurlin Kaur earned her sixth victory of the season as she outlasted her opponent, 3-2, in the No. 1 slot. Kaur faced a 2-1 deficit before winning the final two games to claim the win.
Aryaa Ogale improved her win total to seven this winter with a 3-1 victory in the No. 2 slot. Tied 1-1, Ogale earned a 11-9 win in the third game and a 11-3 victory in the fourth to overpower her opponent. Despite the wins in the top slots, F&M couldn't overcome Bowdoin in the final seven matches on the day.
No. 23 Franklin & Marshall now turns its attention to a road matchup in Annapolis, Maryland on Sunday. The Diplomats are set to face No. 15 Georgetown at noon.
