ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The No. 19 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team extended its winning streak to three on the road Sunday afternoon as the Diplomats defeated No. 21 Navy, 8-1. F&M improves its record to 9-6 this season, while the Naval Academy drops to 11-8.
Sharan Punjabi (No. 2) and
Jordan Sprecher (No. 4) each earned wins in their respective matches to share a team-high 11 individual victories so far this season. Punjabi outlasted his opponent, 3-1, while Sprecher earned a 3-0 sweep in his match.
Kyle Broadhurst (No. 1) and
Noah Katzer (No. 5) improved to 10 individual wins this season as both Diplomats swept their opponent.
Marco DiFilippo continued F&M's momentum as he swept the Midshipman in the No. 3 slot for his ninth win of the winter.
Sam Freed battled a 3-2 victory in the No. 6 slot for his eighth of the year. Freed earned an 11-8 victory in the fifth game to hold off his opponent in the match.
Evann Tan picked up his seventh win of the season as he won 12-10 and 13-11 in the final two games to win the match, 3-1.
Hunar Kohli capped F&M's day with a 3-1 victory for his third win this winter.
Franklin & Marshall will look to add onto the winning streak when it travels to face No. 14 Rochester Friday at 6:00 p.m.
