CANTON, N.Y. – The No. 23 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team earned a hard-fought victory over No. 21 Saint Lawrence, 7-2, on the road Sunday morning. The Diplomats bought its record to 5-11, while the Saints drop to 4-8 on the season.
Aryaa Ogale picked up her team-leading 10th individual-victory of the season as the senior won three-straight games to outlast her opponent, 3-2, in the No. 2 slot. Following Ogale, four different Diplomats earned their seventh wins of the season with
Gurlin Kaur (No. 1),
Cate Costin (No. 3),
Zarine Gidwaney (No. 4), and
Tatum Long (No. 6) all tallying victories. Kaur and Long each claimed 3-0 sweeps over their respective opponents, while Costin and Gidwaney held off their respective foes to win, 3-2.
Iman Jaikishan overcame a 1-0 deficit by winning three-consecutive games to earn her fifth victory of the year.
Ana Petrosky capped the Diplomats' wins with a victory by default in the No. 9 slot for her second win of the winter.
Franklin & Marshall now prepares to host Senior Day when it welcomes No. 19 Colby to the Mayser Center on Saturday at noon. Â
