BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Jack Parker won his pool to highlight an overall winning day for the Franklin & Marshall wrestling team at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic on Sunday. Competing as individuals in pool competition, the Diplomats posted 22 victories to wrap up their weekend in Bethlehem.

Parker went a perfect 3-0 on Sunday with decision wins against Buffalo's Max Elton and Hofstra's Dylan Acevedo before meeting up with teammate James Garcia in the finals where Parker emerged a 4-1 winner in that battle of teammates. Garcia advanced to the finals of his pool with a pair of bonus point victories against EIWA foes from Binghamton and Hofstra before his final match of the day against his teammate.

Aidan O'Shea (141 lbs.), Luke Bender (157 lbs.), and Josh Palmucci (165 lbs.) each finished with 2-1 records on Sunday. O'Shea majored two opponents from Buffalo before a narrow 9-7 loss against Pittsburgh's Briar Priest in his de facto championship match. Bender's two wins both came against Sacred Heart, while Palmucci earned a technical fall against Sacred Heart before a pin against LIU's James LaScala to close his day.

Four Diplomats (Bryce Kresho, Jake Neill, Dominic Wheatley, and Brody Kline) put themselves in the third place matches of their pools during the opening rounds. F&M won three of those crossover matches with Kresho earning a fall for his second bonus point victory of the day, while Neill prevailed in a tight 5-4 decision before Kline received a medical forfeit during his final match. Nick Alvarez added two victories to the team's day with wins against Sacred Heart, while Jake Allred, Leo Vargo, and RJ Moore also recorded wins throughout the tournament.

Wrestling will return to action with two more tournaments on its November schedule during the next two weeks. Up first will be a quick trip to Millersville for the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Open on Saturday, November 16. Wrestling on that day is scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m.
