LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 13 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team opened its 2024-25 season with a dominating 8-1 victory over No. 16 MIT Saturday afternoon at the Mayser Squash Courts.

Kyle Broadhurst (No. 1), Marco DiFilippo (No. 2), Sharan Punjabi (No. 3), Jordan Sprecher (No. 4), Alexander Arader (No. 5), and Aditya Chandani (No. 6) were brilliant in their matches as the Diplomats swept the top six matches on the day. Evan Tann earned F&M's seven sweep of the day as he rolled to a 3-0 victory in the No. 9 slot.

Noah Katzer held off his opponent in the No. 7 match, 3-1, to begin his season in the win column. After dropping the second game, 11-6, Katzer responded with 11-9 and 11-6 victories to overpower his opponent for the match-win. Sam Freed battled in the No. 8 slot, but fell in five games, 3-2. After dropping the first two, Freed responded with 11-5 and 11-3 wins to force a decisive fifth. However, the senior was held off, 12-10, to fall in the match.

No. 13 Franklin & Marshall welcomes a tough challenge on Friday when it hosts No. 1 Penn at 1:00 p.m.
