BRYN MAWR, Pa.- Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team (4-2, 4-1 CC) defeated Centennial Conference opponent Bryn Mawr College 132-72 on the road on Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats broke the 800 freestyle relay pool record at Bryn Mawr on top of eight event wins and 19 top-three finishes. 

The team of Madi Bickford, Ava Tseng, Catherine Crampton, Georgia May won the 800 freestyle relay and set a new pool standard at the Bern Schwartz Fitness and Athletic Center with a time of 8:10.28.  Caitlin Barr, Kala Zingle, Eliza Craw, and Riley Reader finished in second place.

F&M took the top two places in the 200 medley relay, as Sophie Bergstrom, Sophie Moyer, Katarina Dominguez, Barr won the event and May Hartog, Reader, Alexa Girasole-Culhane, and Erin Suter finished in second place.

Bergstrom won both of her individual events. She led F&M in taking the top four spots in the 100 backstroke, followed by Tseng in 2nd, Crampton in 3rd, and Maddie Mealey in 4th. She also won the 200 freestyle with Samantha Taylor claiming third place. 

F&M swept the top-four spots in the 50 freestyle, with Bickford 1st, Rachel Baker 2nd, Moyer 3rd, and Suter 4th.

Kathy Peitz-Diaz led a top-three swept in the 500 freestyle, as she was followed by Barr and Zingle. 

Crampton won the 400 IM followed by Georgia May in 2nd. 

Tseng earned the win in the 100 freestyle. 

F&Mreturns in two weeks as they host the Franklin & Marshall Invitational from Friday, November 22, through Sunday, November 24.
