PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 22 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team rolled to a 9-0 victory over No. 27 Denison in the Walker Cup quarterfinals Friday evening at the CSA Team National Championships. F&M improves to 7-14 overall, while the Big Red drop to 8-11 on the season.
Aryaa Ogale jumped out to an early 2-1 lead in the No. 2 slot to set up an 11-3 win in the fourth game – earning her 12th individual win of the season.
Gurlin Kaur (No. 1),
Cate Costin (No. 3), and
Tatum Long (No. 6) each swept their respective opponents to pick up their sixth wins of the year.
Zarine Gidwaney also claimed her sixth win this winter as she overcame a 1-0 deficit to take the match, 3-1.
Iman Jaikishan followed with another 3-1 victory in the No. 7 slot by winning the last two games, 11-3 and 11-6, for her sixth win of the year.
Mia Todd (No. 5) and
Ana Petrosky (No. 9) both claimed sweeps over their opponents for their respective fifth and fourth victories of the season.
Joey Ho swept her opponent in the No. 8 position for her third individual victory of the winter.
No. 22 Franklin & Marshall now prepares to face No. 23 Chatham in the Walker Cup semifinals Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
