LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 18 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team fell at home against No. 14 Colby, 7-2, Saturday afternoon at the Mayser Center Squash Courts. The Diplomats end the regular season with an 11-8 record, while the Mules finish 11-3 on the year.
Before the match, the F&M men's squash team honored its two seniors,
Tommy Fournaris and
Blake Newcomer, during its Senior Day ceremony.
Marco DiFilippo earned his 12th individual victory of the season with a 3-1 win in the No. 3 slot. DiFilippo took the third and fourth games with scores of 11-3 and 11-5 to push past his opponent.
Jordan Sprecher (No. 4) followed with a 3-1 victory for his 14th individual win of the year. Sprecher earned an 11-7 win in the fourth game to solidify the victory. Newcomer celebrated his Senior Day with a 3-1 win in the exhibition match for his third victory in the No. 10 slot this season.
Franklin & Marshall now prepares for the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference (MASC) Championships starting on Friday.
