PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 17 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team jumped into competition at the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference (MASC) Championships with an 8-1 victory over No. 25 Dickinson Friday evening. With the win, F&M improves to 12-8 overall this year.
Jordan Sprecher continued his winning streak with a 3-0 sweep in the No. 4 slot to earn his team-leading 15th win of the season and fourth-straight victory.
Marco DiFilippo (No. 3) and
Noah Katzer (No. 5) also swept their respective opponents to improve both their win totals to 13 this year.
Kyle Broadhurst won an action-packed five-game match in the No. 1 slot to pick up his 12th victory this winter. Broadhurst outlasted his opponent by taking the fifth frame, 11-9, for the match-victory.
Sam Freed (No. 6) and
Evann Tan (No. 7) each worked sweeps over their opposition to both claim their 10th wins of the season.
Juan Hinostroza (No. 8) downed his opponent, 3-1, while
Blake Newcomer (No. 9) swept the Red Devils to each pick up their sixth wins of the season.
Hunar Kohli beat his opponent, 3-1, in the exhibition match for his fifth win of the season and second victory of the winter competing in the No. 10 slot.
Franklin & Marshall looks to continue its success in the MASC Championships when it takes on No. 9 Virginia Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
