LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 13 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team (6-3) overpowered No. 20 Middlebury (6-2), 8-1, Sunday afternoon at the Mayser Center Squash Courts. F&M rolled past the Panthers, sweeping seven individual matches on the day.
Sharan Punjabi (No. 3) and
Aditya Chandani (No. 5) each earned their team-leading seventh win of the season, sweeping their respective opponents, 3-0.
Kyle Broadhurst (No. 1) and
Evann Tan (No. 9) were dominant in their matches as both Diplomats swept their opponents to each improve to six wins on the season.
Jordan Sprecher also earned his sixth win this winter as he outlasted his opponent in five games. Tied at 2-2, Sprecher overwhelmed his matchup with an 11-6 score in the fifth to take the victory.
Alexander Arader (No. 5) and
Sam Freed (No. 6) continued F&M's success as both players earned a sweep to claim their fifth win of the year.
Marco DiFilippo cruised to a 3-0 win in the No. 2 slot to earn his fourth individual victory this season.
No. 13 Franklin & Marshall now sets its sights on the CSA Individual Championships, starting on Saturday, January 25 in New York, New York.
