GETTYSBURG, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team (1-3, 1-3 Centennial Conference) dropped Friday's dual meet at No. 22 Gettysburg (4-1, 3-1 Centennial Conference), 136-64. The Diplomats logged three times in the program's top-ten performance list in the meet.

The Diplomats totaled 11 top-three results with an event win in the 400 freestyle relay from the lineup of Madi Bickford, Delphine Brown, Kala Zingle, and Grace Kovach, registering the program's tenth-best 400 time in the event at 3:35.37. The Diplomats swept the top three spots with the B lineup of  Kathy Peitz-Diaz, Victoria Cellucci, Eliza Craw, Ava Tseng in second and the C lineup of Emily Albert, Olivia Tipton, May Hartog, and Abbey Schofield in third.

In short freestyle races, Kovach was second in the 100 freestyle, Brown earned second in the 200 freestyle, and Bickford was third in the 50 freestyle. Kovach and Brown have already entered the program's top-ten performance list in their second collegiate event. Kovach's time of 52.95 in the 100 freestyle is the program's fourth-best and just behind Bickford's mark of 52.85. Brown's 1:55.37 finish in the 200 freestyle now stands as the seventh-best time in program history following her second collegiate meet.

Tseng claimed two top three finishes, earning second in the 500 freestyle and third in the 100 freestyle. Peitz-Diaz followed her in third place in the 500 freestyle. 

Samantha Taylor and Riley Reader earned second and third in the 100 breaststroke, respectively. 

The Diplomats wrap up the weekend by hosting the University of Mary Washington on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
