Men's Cross Country Finishes 16th Mid-Atlantic Region Championship

NEWVILLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's cross country team finished its 2025 season with a 16th place finish out of 35 teams at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional. The Diplomats scored 447 points as a team with a young squad that featured two juniors, four sophomores, and one first-year.

Sophomore Zach Houff led the Diplomats to the finish line with a time of 26:43.1 on the 8,000 meter course which placed him 45th in the field. Classmate Tommy Tapino also finished in the top 100 as his time of 27:19.7 placed him 72nd in the field of 281 finishers.

With teams allowed seven entrants, F&M's third through seventh finishers all came across in a tight pack that was separated by just 16 seconds. George Williams led that contingent in a time of 28:25.6, just edging out Sean Gorman (28:29.4). Brian Mix made his regional debut with a time of 28:35.9 as he was just one spot ahead of teammate Aiden Cotter (28:37.4). Addison Neuen also competed in the regional championship where he finished with a time of 28:41.8.

With the conclusion of the cross country season, these Diplomats will join the rest of their teammates on the track & field team as the indoor season opener is set for Friday, December 5 in the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center.
