LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 16 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team (3-2) won both of its matches on Sunday to finish up the Penn Cup at the Mayser Center. The Diplomats cruised to an 8-1 win over No. 27 Dickinson (2-2), before sweeping No. 28 Haverford (0-4), 9-0.
Kyle Broadhurst started the day earning a 3-0 sweep in the No. 1 slot against Dickinson for his third win of the season.
Sharan Punjabi was one of seven Diplomats to win two matches on the day. Punjabi swept the No. 2 match against Dickinson, before taking a 3-0 win in the No. 1 match against Haverford.
Aditya Chandani picked up a 3-0 sweep in the No. 4 match against the Red Devils, before notching a 3-1 victory in the No. 3 slot against Haverford.
Noah Katzer swept both of his matches, playing in the No. 4 and No. 5 slot on Sunday to improve to three wins on the season.
Jamie Stait blanked his opponent in both matches, winning the No. 6 match against the Red Devils and No. 5 match versus the Fords.
Dean Vahlsing won the No. 8 match against Dickinson, 3-1, before sweeping the No. 6 match against Haverford.
Eeshan Sawant eased past his opponent from Dickinson (No. 9), 3-0, before coming out on top of a five-game battle against Haverford (No. 7), 3-2.
Teerth Jilka warmed up with a 3-0 victory against Dickinson in the exhibition match. Jilka came back with a 3-0 sweep in the No. 8 slot against Haverford to pick up his second-career win.
Akshat Agarwal blanked his opponent from Dickinson, 3-0, in the No. 7 slot for his second win of the year.
Toby Clegg-Petri notched a 3-0 win in the No. 2 slot against Haverford to tally his first-career victory.
Hunar Kohli wrapped up the day for the Diplomats, overpowering his opponent in the No. 9 slot versus Haverford, 3-2, in a five-game match.
No. 16 Franklin & Marshall returns to the Mayser Center Squash Courts on Saturday, hosting No. 22 Bates at noon.
