LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 27 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team (2-3) fell, 6-3, in its home match against No. 24 Bates (1-0) Saturday afternoon at the Mayser Center Squash Courts. The Bobcats took the top six matches to earn the team victory before F&M earned three wins by default to finish the day.
Rory Dasher battled in the No. 2 slot earning an 11-5 win in the first game. However, her opponent won the next three games to take the match.
Joey Ho also kept pace with her opponent in the No. 3 slot as an 11-8 win in the second game tied the match. Despite the surge, Bates' Savannah Thomson tallied wins in the next two games to claim the match. F&M got on the scoreboard late with
Destiny Ponce and
Nathalie Hernandez earning wins by default, but the final score was already in favor of Bates.
No. 27 Franklin & Marshall looks to bounce back on Sunday when it takes on No. 18 Bowdoin at 10:00 a.m. in the Diplomats' final match of 2025.
