WATERVILLE, Maine – The No. 16 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team (9-6) earned a hard-fought 6-3 victory over No. 15 Colby (8-6) Friday evening. After dropping the top two matches, the Diplomats won three-straight to take over the lead. Colby responded with a win in the No. 6 match, but F&M won the bottom three matches, including the exhibition match, en route to its ninth victory of the year.
Aditya Chandani held off his opponent, 3-1, in the No. 5 slot to earn his 10th individual victory of the season.
Sam Freed outlasted his opponent in the No. 7 slot, 3-2, to win his eighth match of the year. Tied at 2-2, Freed claimed an 11-7 victory in the fifth game to win the match.
Marco DiFilippo swept his opponent, 3-0, in the No. 3 slot for his sixth individual victory this winter.
Noah Katzer pushed past his opponent in a 3-2 victory during the No. 8 match. Down 2-1, Katzer won the final two games 11-1, 11-5 to pick up his fifth win of the season.
Akshat Agarwal swept his opponent in the No. 9 slot to earn his fourth individual victory of the year.
Juan Hinostroza earned a 3-0 sweep in the exhibition match for his third win in the No. 10 slot this season.
No. 16 Franklin & Marshall looks to add onto the winning streak when it travels to play No. 21 Bowdoin Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
