SPARKS, Md. – Sara DiGiovanni of the Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team has been recognized as the USA Lacrosse Women's Player of the Week for Division III. DiGiovanni continues to be a force in F&M's net, leading the Diplomats to victories over two nationally-ranked opponents last week.

In Franklin & Marshall's 11-10 win over No. 3 Gettysburg, DiGiovanni made 12 saves, including two in the fourth quarter to keep the Bullets off the scoreboard in the final 15 minutes. The junior goalkeeper followed up that performance with four saves in the victory over No. 23 Haverford to place the Diplomats in sole possession of first place in the Centennial Conference standings. With 10 wins in net this season, DiGiovanni holds an 8.29 goals-against average and a save percentage of 54.0 percent.

Franklin & Marshall now gears up to play its final non-conference game of the year, traveling to play Rowan on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
