GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's cross country team ran to a third place finish at the Little Three Meet on Friday evening. Competing against rivals Dickinson and Gettysburg, it was the Red Devils (17 points) who secured the team title while Gettysburg (60 points) was seven points ahead of the Diplomats (67 points).
Zach Houff led Franklin & Marshall to the finish line on the 5,000 meter cross country course with a personal best time of 15:47.0 at the 5K distance. He placed fourth in the field of 46 runners and was joined in the top 10 by Tommy Tapino who took ninth with a time of 16:03.5.
Addison Neuen recorded his personal best time in a 5,000 meter cross country race when he finished in 17:13.2 and was immediately followed to the line by Aiden Cotter (17:14.4). Cole Smith (17:30.9) was the team's fifth finisher and final scorer. George Williams (17:37.5) and Harvey Li (18:35.7) took the sixth and seventh spots in the team lineup.
After two races in a week's time, men's cross country has almost a full month of training before the Diplomats return to action at Lehigh's Paul Short Run on Friday, October 3.
