MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The No. 27 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team (2-6) dropped its road match against No. 16 Middlebury (4-2), 9-0, in Saturday afternoon's contest. The Panthers cruised in the individual matches with all nine bouts finishing with a 3-0 final score.
Mia Todd started fast in the No. 3 match as she had a back-and-forth battle in the opening game of the match. However, Middlebury's Isabella Ronda won the game, 11-7, and used the momentum to tally victories in the following two games for the match win.
Rory Dasher also battled in the first game of the No. 2 match. Dasher kept the score close, but the Panthers' Aanvi Anand held off the Diplomat, 11-5, in the first game en route to a 3-0 sweep.
Lavanya Seshasayee faced a 1-0 deficit in the No. 6 match, but stood tall in the second game. Despite the great effort from Seshasayee, Middlebury's Lillian Showalter won both the second and third games to complete the sweep.
No. 27 Franklin & Marshall concludes the weekend with a match at No. 13 Amherst on Sunday at noon.
