AMHERST, Mass. – The No. 27 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team (2-7) dropped its final match of the weekend, falling to No. 13 Amherst (5-0), 9-0, Sunday afternoon. The Mammoths controlled the tempo early and rode the momentum to sweeps in all nine individual matches.
Ashanti Amastal (No. 1) played three close games, including a narrow 11-9 loss in the third. Despite the valiant effort, Amastal was held off by Amherst's Anastasiia Krykyn in a 3-0 sweep.
Rory Dasher (No. 2) also kept pace with her opponent throughout the match. However, Dasher couldn't catch Amherst's Kanzy Elkaliuoby on the scoreboard as Elkaliuoby claimed an 11-9 win in the third game to complete the 3-0 match victory.
