LANCASTER, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team (4-5, 2-3 Centennial Conference) wrapped up the dual meet season with a narrow 136-125 win over visiting Division II Millersville (3-4) on Friday evening. 

F&M claimed eight event wins including both relay events, four individual freestyle relays, and both individual butterfly events. 

The team of Kala Zingle, Riley Reader, Caitlin Barr, and Madi Bickford opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, while the team of Bickford, Matti Harvey, Zingle, and Grace Kovach went on earn the 200 freestyle relay victory to conclude the meet. 

Delphine Brown led the way individually for F&M with two event wins in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle. Kovach won the 100 freestyle while claiming second place in both the 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle. Bickford was the event winner in the 50 freestyle, and she earned silver in the 100 freestyle. 

Janelle King earned gold in the 100 butterfly while Maddie Mealey won the 200 butterfly. Mealey earned two other top-three finishes including second place in the 100 butterfly and third place in the 200 IM. 

Ava Tseng was F&M's best finisher in the 200 IM, claiming silver, while Abbey Schofield was a third-place finisher in the 200 butterfly. 

Zingle was second in both the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke. 

The Diplomats return to competition in next month's Centennial Conference Swimming and Diving Championship from Thursday, January 19 through Sunday, January 22. A preview of the championship will be released the week of the event.
