CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 23 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team (5-10) was defeated by No. 14 Georgetown (5-6), 9-0, in the first round of the Gaynor Cup during the 2026 Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference (MASC) Championships Friday evening. The Hoyas rolled to a victory in the opening match of the tournament, sweeping all nine individual bouts.
Rory Dasher came close to taking a game win in the No. 2 match, earning seven wins in the both the first and second games. However, Georgetown's Ella Erickson held off the F&M sophomore to claim the match.
Mia Todd also battled to two close games in the No. 3 match, earning seven in the first and nine in the third. Despite the high scoring, Mary Kacergis of the Hoyas rallied to a sweep of the match.
Joey Ho fought through a close second game in the No. 5 slot as she notched seven points, but Georgetown's Kate Hennessy extinguished the threat to complete the match victory.
No. 23 Franklin & Marshall continues the MASC Championships on Saturday, taking on No. 3 Stanford at 9:00 a.m.
