CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 23 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team (6-11) came away with a 5-4 victory over No. 25 Dickinson (4-11 Sunday afternoon in the Diplomats' final match of the Gaynor Cup at the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference (MASC) Championships. F&M won the final four individual matches to propel them past the Red Devils for the team victory.
Mia Todd got F&M on the scoreboard with a 3-0 sweep in the No. 3 match to pick up her eighth individual win of the season.
Lavanya Seshasayee followed with a 3-0 win in the No. 6 slot to improve the six victories this year.
Elisabeth Stout continued the Diplomats' run by blanking her opponent in the No. 7 match, 3-0, to claim her sixth individual win this winter.
Destiny Ponce battled to a big 3-1 win in the No. 8 match. Ponce faced a 1-0 deficit before she notched wins in the final three games, 11-9, 11-4, 15-13, for her sixth victory this season. Nathalie secured the match win for F&M in the No. 9 match as she won by default for her third victory this winter.
No. 23 Franklin & Marshall returns to the Mayser Center Squash Courts on Sunday to host No. 22 Hamilton at 11:00 a.m.
