LANCASTER, Pa. – Alexandra Proefrock was named the Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the final two goals in the Diplomats' come-from-behind win against No. 9 Washington and Lee on Sunday. The then-No. 6 Diplomats opened their 2026 season with a 7-6 win against the Generals in the top 10 showdown.
The Diplomats never led Sunday until Proefrock's goal with 3:57 left in regulation time. That game-winning tally came exactly two minutes after Proefrock tied the score at six-all with just over five minutes left in the fourth quarter.
With its win behind Proefrock's late heroics, he Diplomats moved up to No. 4 in the national rankings. Franklin & Marshall will return to action this Saturday when it travels to No. 25 Scranton for a 1 p.m. opening draw.
