GREENWOOD, Ind.- Four Franklin & Marshall men's swimmers earned spots on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team for Division III.
Ben Lockey and
Brady Saunders are back-to-back representatives for the Diplomats, while
Matthew Tilghman and
Riley Williams earned their first selection to the team.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Ben Lockey earned his second-straight selection to the Academic All-District® Team. He also was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the third-consecutive year. Lockey was an A Finalist in two individual events at this year's Centennial Conference Swimming Championship, as he finished in fourth place in the 100 breaststroke and eighth place in the 50 freestyle. He also claimed 11th in the 100 freestyle, while he played a role in a fourth-place showing in the 200 medley relay, fifth-place result in the 200 freestyle relay, and sixth-place finish in the 400 medley relay. This year, he set F&M's third-best 50 breaststroke split (26.49), third-quickest 100 breaststroke time (56.50), ninth-best 100 freestyle time(46.04), raced the freestyle leg in F&M's tenth-quickest 200 medley relay time (1:32.76), and set the team's tenth-best 100 freestyle split (45.63).
Brady Saunders is also a back-to-back representative on the Academic All-District® Team. So far this year, he was named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team and earned his third-straight selection to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. Saunders was a part of the fifth-place team in the 200 freestyle relay at this year's Centennial Conference Swimming Championship.
Matthew Tilghman earned his first selection to the Academic All-District® Team in 2026. Earlier this season, he was also named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the second time. Tilghman was a B Finalist in three events at this season's Centennial Conference Swimming Championship including the 400 IM, 500 freestyle, and 1650 freestyle. He also helped F&M earn fourth place in the 800 freestyle relay a
Riley Williams is a first-time member of the Academic All-District® Team, while he also earned his first selection to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. Williams was a B finalist in the 100 butterfly at the 2026 Centennial Conference Swimming Championship, and he also played a role in a fourth-place finish in the 200 medley relay and sixth-place finish in the 400 medley relay, racing the butterfly legs. This season, Williams set F&M's third-best 50 butterfly split (21.98), logged the program's fourth-best 100 butterfly split (49.89), and raced the butterfly leg in F&M's tenth-best 200 medley relay performance (1.32.76)
The Franklin & Marshall men's swimming team concluded the 2025-26 season with a 5-4, 3-2 Centennial Conference record in the dual meet season and a fifth-place finish at the Centennial Conference Swimming Championship.
