McClure Named to 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Team

GREENWOOD, Ind.- Senior pitcher Ainsley McClure was named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team® for Division III, marking her second time earning this honor.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Ainsley McClure, now a two-time member of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team® for Division III, was also named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the third-consecutive year. Athletically, she was named to the All-Centennial Conference Second Team and Academic All-Centennial Conference Team, marking her first all-conference selection. Among qualifying Centennial Conference pitchers, she ranked second in looking strikeouts (25), second in complete games (12), third in strikeouts (73), tied for fourth in wins (11) fifth in innings pitched (101.2), seventh in opponent batting average (.266) and tenth in ERA (3.72). Across 17 starts and 21 appearances, she posted an 11-5 record. McClure ended her career with the second-most looking strikeouts (72), fifth-best K/7 rate (5.24), sixth-most strikeouts (254), seventh-most wins (25), seventh-most innings pitched (339.1), ninth-lowest opponent batting average (.278), 11th-best ERA (3.05), and 12th-most complete games (29). McClure also claimed Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Week honors in the final week of the regular season, marking the second time in her career she was Pitcher of the Week. 

In head coach Dina Henry 94's first season, the 2026 Diplomats posted a 17-20, 9-7 Centennial Conference record, marking the team's second Centennial Conference Tournament appearance and 12th overall appearance in the postseason. 17 wins is the most in a season since the 2017 and 2018 seasons, while the nine Centennial Conference wins is the most since a 9-7 2015 performance.
