LANCASTER, Pa.- To celebrate 50 years of athletic excellence that includes two NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championships, Franklin & Marshall College Athletics has officially unveiled its commemorative 50 Years of Women's Lacrosse logo. Official merchandise featuring the new crest is now available on the Franklin & Marshall Athletics BSN Store.
The commemorative logo honors half-a-century of tradition, competitive excellence, and memorable moments that include two National Championships,12 Centennial Conference Championships, five Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, and 115 All-Americans. Fans can now purchase commemorative apparel, headwear, and collectibles to show their pride ahead of a full year of anniversary programming.
The yearlong celebration will officially kick off during True Blue Weekend, slated to occur this October 23-25.
True Blue Weekend will also feature two former women's lacrosse players being inducted into the Franklin & Marshall College Athletics Hall of Fame, as Tina Stathis Newman '89 and Paulette Cutruzzula Dreher '10 join as members of the Class of 2026. The induction ceremony is a free-admission event for any women's lacrosse alumni that would like to join in celebrating the new inductees on Friday, October 23, at 5 p.m.
The weekend will also feature a pair of events on Saturday, October 24th. The morning will open with an alumni scrimmage at 10:00 a.m. Following that, the team will host a tailgate to connect current players, alumni, and supporters during the Franklin & Marshall football team's contest against Ursinus on Saturday, October 24th, at 1:00 p.m. A full True Blue Weekend schedule is available here.
The semi-centennial celebration will continue throughout the upcoming academic year, culminating in a marquee anniversary event during the spring 2027 women's lacrosse season, where generations of players, coaches, and supporters will gather to honor the program's rich legacy.
