What is SALC?
Franklin & Marshall College’s Student-Athlete Leadership Council (SALC) is a council made up of approximately 100 student-athlete representatives. SALC aims to provide a platform for student-athletes to create meaningful change both in the Franklin & Marshall and Lancaster community. Through numerous initiatives and events, this organization creates a connection between student-athletes and various campus groups, raises awareness for key issues, and allows Diplomats to share their voice by further developing valuable leadership skills.

Meetings
All student-athletes and members of the Franklin & Marshall community are welcome to SALC meetings held every other Tuesday at 11:30 am.
Presently, there are separate national SAACs (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) for NCAA Divisions I, II and III. NCAA legislation mandates that all member institutions have SAACs on their respective campuses. Further, NCAA legislation requires that all member conferences have SAACs.
For more information visit the Centennial Conference SAAC Page or the NCAA SAAC Page.
SALC’s key initiatives include:
Track-or-Treat: An event for youth to trick-or-treat on Halloween night in the safe environment of the College's Alumni Sports & Fitness Center.

Other Events we support include:
Virtual 5K: SALC conducted the first-ever Fit & Motivated Virtual 5K on April 17-19, 2020. F&M students, faculty and professional staff, as well as alumni, are ran at their own pace and timed it themselves at the location of their choosing.
