Amanda Houck joined the Franklin & Marshall coaching staff for the 2021 season and works with the Diplomats’ pitchers. Houck spent the previous two seasons as the assistant softball coach at Pequea Valley High School. She also brings prior collegiate coaching experience to the team as a former volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater, West Chester.

A 2018 graduate of West Chester, Houck appeared in 167 games in the circle during her career, making 124 starts. She posted a 99-24 career record with an ERA of 1.50. Her senior season was particularly impressive as she posted a 1.16 ERA to go along with her 31-7 record in 2018 as West Chester won the Super Regionals to advance to the NCAA Division II Women’s College World Series. That success highlighted the team’s four straight NCAA appearances and one Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship during her playing career.

Houck obtained her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders before earning her Master of Education (MEd) in Special Education and Teaching.
