Sydney Boreman

Sydney Boreman joined the F&M coaching staff before the start of the 2018 season as an infield coach and hitting instructor. Now in her fifth season in Lancaster, "Coach Syd" is the program's lead assistant and works with the corner infielders, instructs hitting, and is the first base coach for the Diplomats. She was instrumental in helping F&M hitters achieve a team average of .336, good enough to rank second in the Centennial Conference in 2021.

Boreman played first base and was a designated hitter at Messiah College from 2014-17, serving as a captain during her senior year in 2017 when the Falcons were ranked as high as No. 3 in the nation and advanced to both the Commonwealth Conference and NCAA Tournaments. Boreman competed on Messiah teams that appeared in three NCAA National Tournaments - including a Division III runner-up finish in 2016, and a Commonwealth Conference Championship during her junior season. During her four-year playing career, Boreman played on teams that posted a combined 142-36 record, including an outstanding 60-4 mark in conference play.

A standout at Red Land High School in Lewisberry, Pa., Boreman earned numerous honors, including twice being named to the prestigious Harrisburg Patriot-News Big 15 team.

Boreman is employed as a graphic designer at LCBC Church and resides in Manheim.
