Conor Borak came to Franklin & Marshall rowing in the spring of 2020 and has helped develop both the men's and women's programs over the past few years.
Borak has coached several boats that have taken gold at various fall and spring regattas, including Head of the Ohio, Head of the Schuylkill, and the Mid Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARCs) championship. He also coached the men's double in 2023, which took fifth in the Grand Final of the Dad Vail Regatta. He is also highly involved with the Diplomats' novice program and developing them into competitive varsity rowers.
Borak began coaching in 2009 for Absegami High School in New Jersey. After positions at Egg Harbor Township High School and OKC Riversport in Oklahoma coaching youth rowers, as well as Masters and Corporate rowing, he is grateful to be back in his spiritual rowing home on the Susquehanna for his first collegiate coaching role.
As a rower, Borak began his career at St. Augustine Prep in Richland, N.J., where he rowed lightweight. After rowing for Franklin & Marshall between 2007 and 2009, he finished his collegiate rowing career at Oklahoma City University.
Borak still enjoys racing with alumni and in Masters racing and rows a single whenever the opportunity arises.
